Summary of Responsibilities
The Assistant Clinical Professor is a member of the core PA faculty with a variety of responsibilities related to teaching, scholarship, service, and student advising. In performing these duties, the faculty member is expected to develop, coordinate, and implement classroom and small
group/laboratory instruction; maintain a high level of expertise in content areas taught; engage in curricular assessment and improvement activities; provide academic, research and professional student mentorship; and conduct scholarly/research activities in areas of interest/expertise as appropriate. Faculty must uphold professional certification and licensure requirements.

Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited PA program
Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution

Minimum Experience
Minimum of 3 years in a clinical practice experience

Position Description Information
Preferred Education
Graduate level degree (master’s or doctoral) from a regionally accredited institution.
Preferred Experience
- Academic or clinically related teaching experience at the college/university level
- Experience in research/scholarship or grant writing
- Five years of clinical practice experience
Regular Hours of Work
8-5, Monday – Friday. Schedule may vary based on class schedule

2) Develop, coordinate, and implement classroom, online, small group, clinical skills, and simulation instruction and assessment
3) Engage in development of new and creative instructional materials, teaching methodologies, and types of assessment activities
4) Maintain a high level of expertise in content areas taught and teaching modalities.
5) Engage in curricular planning, assessment, and improvement activities
6) Develop remediation plans for students exhibiting chronic low performance
7) Provide academic and professional development counseling and advising to students
