Full Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, with at least 2 years of experience in outpatient endocrinology to to join Maryland Endocrine, P.A., a large private adult Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism practice with a single office in Columbia, MD. (www.marylandendocrine.com) Maryland Endocrine offers expert outpatient consultative services to a wide referral base in Central Maryland, with an emphasis on providing high quality state of the art community care and early application of advanced diabetes technology in a collegial environment. It features 10 providers, including a Physician’s Assistant and has no inpatient responsibilities. Our practice provides ultrasound guided FNA’s, Eversense implanted CGM implantation and removal, professional CGM studies, an office lab and in office venipuncture.

This position is full time, but we would consider part-time of at least 75%. Ability to perform ultrasound guided FNA not required, but is available.

Responsibilities:

– Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests

– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients

– Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs

– Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans

– Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

– Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention

– Provide counseling and support to patients dealing with chronic illnesses or complex medical conditions

Skills:

– Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology

– Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills

– Familiarity with DME setup and usage

– Ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages

– Effective communication skills to educate patients and their families

– Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Qualifications:

– Valid Nurse Practitioner license or Physician Assistant in [STATE]

– Master’s degree in Nursing or related field

– Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician assistant in the respective specialty area
