Ambulatory -FT & PT position available, Monday to Friday , 8 hour shifts

Responsibilities

An opportunity to work in a community setting with the academic resources of the University of Rochester. You will be part of a close knit team and work in collaboration with the Regional Radiation Oncology Medical Faculty in the Dansville office in the provision of clinical care for patients undergoing treatment for cancer. The team seeks a good decision-maker, with proven success in making timely decisions. This person must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient environment dealing with a wide range of disease. Must be adept at planning and prioritizing work. Must be flexible in their approach and demeanor in order to align with shifting demands of evolving circumstances. Responsibilities include direct patient care including evaluation and management of acute illness and chronic symptom management, follow-up, coordination of services, and patient and family education. The APP will be working collaboratively with our Radiation Oncology teams. Involvement in clinical trial accrual. Serves as clinical liaison between faculty, APP’s, Residents and administration. Participates in department meetings relevant to clinical duties. Excellent communication skills with proven ability in exercising independent judgement and initiative. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students, Residents and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master’s degree (or pending) as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active/pending New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Requires completion (or pending) of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active/pending New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current/pending national certification as a Physician Assistant by the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relations skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $44.71-67.07

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum annual salary for this faculty position. Individual salaries will be determined within the job’s salary range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
