Full Job Description
- Dates of covereage:5/1- 8/30
- Coverage needed while they recruit for perm
- Inpatient, hospital-based setting with responsibilities for rounding, consults, and postoperative care
- No OR/First Assist or procedural work required
- Must have a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management
- Coverage includes 240 hours in a 6-week schedule with weekend shifts
- Hours are 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., in-house coverage required
- weekend covereage required every 4th week
- No on-call duties
- Expected to see an average of 10 patients per day
- EMR system used: eCare/Cerner
- Level 1 Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation
- Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work autonomously
- Supervising physician available off-site, on-call 24/7
- No new graduates will be accepted
- Procedures required: simple suture for minor laceration repair
- Patient demographics range from ages 0 to 99
Temps are requested
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: emergency privileges’ have been approved
- Henry Ford does not reimburse for background checks or credentialing fees
