Wellhart is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant specializing in Neurological Surgery for a 30-day locum tenens assignment at a Hospital in Michigan. Starting on 08/04/2025, this opportunity offers in-house coverage from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., with weekend coverage required every 4th week. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke designation. Responsibilities include rounding, consults, postoperative care, and simple suture for minor laceration repair. The role requires a basic understanding of acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies, ICU care, neurosurgical elective procedures, and postoperative management. Proficiency with eCare/Cerner EMR system is necessary.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide in-house coverage for neurological surgery patients
- Perform rounds, consults, and manage postoperative care
- Conduct simple suture procedures for minor laceration repair
- Manage acute neurosurgical and stroke emergencies
- Provide ICU care for neurosurgical patients
- Assist with neurosurgical elective procedures
- Handle postoperative management of neurological surgery patients
- Utilize eCare/Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a Trauma Center setting
Additional Information:
- Experience in a Comprehensive Stroke designation facility preferred
- Must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment
