Palm Health Resources is hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant in Chicago, Illinois!
Full Continuum of Care Cardiothoracic Surgery role with a primary focus being OR/First Assisting!
Additionally seeking experience managing post-operative Cardiac Surgery patients’ in the critical care setting with knowledge of advanced mechanical support devices ( LVAD, Impella and ECMO). Primary Cases Include: CABG/AVR/MVR/Ascending Ao Aneeurysm repair / LVAD implantation / ECMO /Axillary IABP placement. The Cardiac Surgery Team works 4/10 hr shifts per week, with rotating days off. 1/5 on call and surgical call only! only 1-2 shifts per week of on call!
300 cardiac cases per year. The candidate would join a team of 4 PAs and 4 APRNS
How many surgeons will the candidate be working with? 3 Cardiac Surgeons, 4 vascular surgeons (as a scrub)
How large is the surgical department in terms of volume and amount of Surgeons/NP/PA’s? approximately 300 cardiac cases per year à present staffing is 2 APNS / 4 cardiac surgery PAs
How many residents/fellows does the program have? Never more than one, rotating in 3 month increments during the year

Looking for a Physician Assistant with an accomplished cardiac Surgery Skill as a first assistant including proficiency at Endovascular vein harvesting who can flex to support cases in both Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Cases.
Salary Depends Upon Experience 135K-195K &Comprehensive Benefits!
Pay: $135,000.00 – $195,000.00 per year
