Full Job Description

Are you passionate about global medicine and interested in working on a tropical Island? Medcor, Inc. has an amazing employment opportunity for a PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA) or NURSE PRACTITIONER (NP) as and Advanced Practice Clinician on Midway Island. This is a 3-5 month assignment beginning on June 1, 2025.

This position is onsite at Midway Island. This is not a new graduate or remote (working from home) opportunity.

BENEFITS:

Working at Midway Island is an opportunity of a lifetime. Midway has a special place in WWII history and is a National Wildlife Refuge with literally millions of sea birds (albatross, frigates, boobies, terns, tropic birds, petrels, etc), sea turtles, Hawaiian Monk seals, crystal clear waters with an abundance of fish, great snorkeling, beautiful white sandy beaches and temperate climate. This location is extremely remote, and the island community rarely exceeds 75 persons. There is no cost for food, lodging, utilities, cable tv, internet service or transportation on island. Very few persons will ever get the opportunity to live on a private Pacific island such as this. While the position comes with a lot of responsibility, the workload is normally exceedingly light and calls for medical care outside of normal clinic hours are very infrequent. The commute to work or from work to the dining facility takes about 3 minutes and there is no problem finding parking.
