Physician Assistant Program – Director of Clinical Education Description
The South College Physician Assistant Studies Program is seeking a highly motivated and innovative physician assistant for the position of Director of Clinical Education to join our PA program in Atlanta, GA. We are searching for a team-oriented faculty member to assist in the development and management of our clinical curriculum and clinical sites. Responsibilities
- Develop and provide ongoing management of the clinical portion of the program
- Act as a liaison between the preceptor, student, and program
- Provide continuous self-assessment and evaluation of the clinical portion of the program
- Assist in the continuous review and compliance of federal, state, and accrediting activities
- Maintain and review scheduling of patient tracking logs
- Plan scholarship and service activities
- Lead coordination of End of Rotation activities and testing
- Provide instruction in all phases of the program
- Participate in student advising, student admissions, and committees as assigned
Requirements:
Education
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or related field
- Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program with at least 3 years of clinical experience as a PA
Credentials
- Eligibility for licensure in Georgia (must secure upon hire if not currently held)
- Current NCCPA certification
Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Preference given for PAs with formal teaching and/or Clinical Director experience
