Full Job Description

Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant to join our team in our thriving practice. The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for handling patient sick and well check up visit appointments and performing routine examinations to ensure patient health. The Nurse Practitioner duties include speaking with their patients about healthy lifestyle choices for their age, completing diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses and coordinating with other health professionals to maintain updated medical records, specialists referrals and follow-up treatments. The Nurse Practitioner will be working closely with the Practice’s Physician and Administrative staff to maintain daily operations within the Facility of Greater Atlanta Pediatrics, PC.

Job Duties:

  • Prescribe Medications and refills when necessary
  • Patient referrals to other healthcare professionals and specialists based on patients’ health needs
  • Fill out forms when requested by patient parents needed for their follow-up treatments, administer vaccines with the help from Medical assistants, schedule or refer patients for surgeries, physical therapy, lactation, fill out forms for school attendance and other needs required for patient’s treatment or daily activities.
  • perform lab tests requests within the office lab or request outside lab assistance
  • responsible to complete patient medical research with the expectation that a resolution is well made for the patient plan of care
  • Nurse Practitioner is expected to follow up with the Practice Physician regarding patient care when there is patient care medical question or need
  • Nurse Practitioner is required to follow up on patient’s care to make sure they are up to date with their vaccines and treatments completed.
  • Nurse Practitioner is expected to ask patients if they have any health concerns and update their patient record as needed.
  • Nurse Practitioner will answer phone calls from patients’ parents regarding their plan of care, lab work results, and any questions regarding medication instructions and refills.
  • Nurse Practitioner is expected to send patient’s referral and make sure to follow up with the front office staff until appointment has been made and document referall in patient’s medical record

  • Nurse Practitioner is expected to provide proof of their State License
  • CV should include Education, previous employment and where is presently working
  • Investigative mindset and excellent attention to detail
  • Quality skills to evaluate patients and perform diagnostic tests to determine a proper diagnosis.
  • Help patients feel comfortable speaking with them about their health concerns .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
