Full Job Description

Job Overview: Alleviate Pain is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to provide exemplary interventional pain management patient care. Candidate must have excellent bedside manner, great time management skills, and work well with a team. This is a Part Time position with opportunity to ramp up to full time in 30/60/90 days based on performance. Position will work under the supervision of an onsite physician conducting office visits in an outpatient clinical setting. This is a unique opportunity to learn all of the intricacies of interventional pain management while gaining hands on experience directly treating patients in an outpatient clinical setting. The ideal candidate will manage all clinical activities of patient care including seeing follow up patients, perform basic injections and monitor pre and post procedure patients up through the discharge process.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan and provide direct patient care in a clinical setting
  • Perform comprehensive examinations, compile and chart detail medical histories, including health history, and provide care to a specified patient population
  • Work under the direct supervising of a physician in the office
  • Identify various methods and modalities of interventional pain management methods to treat patients’ pain
  • Notifies supervising physician regarding any unusual or unexpected events or problems requiring direct physician consultation
  • Practices sound safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods
  • Supervises and/or coordinates the activities of patient care and support staff within the office
  • Documents progress notes on patients’ charts indicating patient status and treatment procedures performed; maintains other records as required
  • Provides health education to patients and families
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
  • Assure compliance with all company plans, policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant or must show proof of national advanced practice certification from an approved specialty board
  • Currently licensed by the State of Florida
  • Clinical experience in interventional pain management preferred, but not required
  • Experience using eClinicalWorks preferred, but not required

Hours: flexible days to start, pending volume, anytime between Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.

Employment agreement contingent upon clearing a background check and urine drug screen.
