Description:

The physician extender will provide comprehensive health assessments, evaluation, planning and administration of quality patient care. The physician extender works under the general supervision of a designated physician within Axel Health providing a mechanism for consultation, collaboration or referral as necessary. Care is provided based on assessment and management in accordance with regulatory standards, policy and procedure, protocols and practice guidelines. The physician extender provides patient care and education based on individual patient health and cultural status. This position serves as a patient advocate for Axel Health, Lee Health and the community.

Looking for dayshift coverage at Lee Health, HealthPark and Gulf Coast Medical Center. Expected to be at location while on shift, generous compensation, health insurance and 401K with match provided.

Requirements:

Education: Masters Degree required. Experience: ICU or Cardiac experience preferred. Licensure: ARNP or PA license in the State of Florida.
