Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, working closely with a neuro-hospitalist physician, delivering comprehensive neurological patient care at Tampa General Hospital, the region’s top academic healthcare center. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your clinical expertise and critical thinking. You will be responsible for performing detailed neurological examinations, conducting diagnostic evaluations, and managing acute and chronic neurological conditions. Your contributions will directly impact patient outcomes, ensuring they receive timely, effective, and personalized care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories, and physical examinations using advanced clinical techniques.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR systems, specifically Epic, to document findings accurately and efficiently.
- Manage critical care cases within the various ICUs of the hospital, as well as the Emergency Room.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through all facets of a patient’s hospitalization, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Provide necessary information for the appropriate billing of claims related to the patients you see.
- Ensure prompt response to urgent patient needs while maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Assist with procedural interventions such as spinal taps.
Experience
- Experience working in the neurology subspecialty is preferred
- Experience working within hospital settings such as emergency rooms, ICUs, or trauma centers is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems, partiularly Epic, for data management and patient recordkeeping is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital medicine practices is preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
