Nurse Practitioner Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, conduct thorough assessments, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including spinal taps and cardiac catheterizations.
- Provide health coaching to patients to promote wellness and disease prevention.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks for documentation and patient management.
- Triage patient concerns effectively to prioritize care delivery.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventative measures.
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to clinical practice.
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in patient assessment and triage processes.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 3-4 days/week, flexible scheduling

EMR: ECW
Support Staff: 2 MDs, 1:4 MD to APP ratio
1-2 years of emergency medicine experience required
Must be board-certified
