Full Job Description
Hospital for Special Surgery and Stamford Hospital have entered into a unique collaboration to create the premier center for advanced orthopedics in New England. The collaboration includes dedicated orthopedics spaces, including three inpatient operating rooms (expanding soon to 4) with related pre-operative and recovery space and 19 inpatient beds in the Stamford Health Hospital tower, with the opportunity for expansion.
The PA will serve as 1st assist in the Operating Room and is responsible for post-operative management and holding area pre-operative assessments in Ambulatory and Inpatient settings.
Per Diem: 2-3 shifts per month; available shifts: 6a-4;30p, 7a-5;30p, 8a-6:30p
1) Successful completion of two year Physician Assistant training program from an accredited institution
2) Active Connecticut PA license and NCCPA certification required
3) Minimum of one year prior experience strongly preferred; preferably in orthopedics or orthopedic rotation
4) Operating Room experience highly preferred
5) BLS required; ACLS and PALS desirable
