LOCATION:
- 2300 Bell Executive Lane, Sacramento, CA 95825
We are a multispecialty medical group seeking a Primary Care Physician Assistant to provide full spectrum primary and preventative care.
The Physician Assistant shall be responsible to provide follow-up care to patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders with attention to medication management for glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol control; other preventive care for diabetic patients; and communication with primary care providers.
· Will develop expertise in the management of patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders
· Demonstrates a fundamental grounding in nursing/medical practice with mastery of knowledge within a defined content area.
· Manages a caseload of patients in partnership with the healthcare team to optimize health status and coordinate care over time and across healthcare settings.
Responsibilities:
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
EDUCATION:
Physician Assistant
· Masters of Science Degree, Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program
· Certification
· Current CA licensure
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (NOT REQUIRED):
- · Outpatient practice experience
- focuses on the primary care needs of adult and older patients.
- · Experience with Electronic Medical Record
