We are hiring a Traveling Physician Assistant, Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA. *** Will Need To See Patients in Downey, Encino, Buena Park, and Los Angeles *** The Physician Assistant will provide health care services to patients with chronic or acute pain symptoms at an Outpatient Pain Management Clinic; under the supervision and would report directly to the supervising licensed physician.
*** COMPETITIVE PAY of up to $85 an hour (Depending on Experience) ***
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred.
Pain Management/Orthopedic Experience is a PLUS !!
The Physicians Assistant assumes principle responsibility, functioning with approved protocols for health maintenance and clinical management of acute and chronically ill patients. Identifies the health status of patients by taking medical histories, performing examinations and initiating and evaluating screening and diagnostic procedures. Initiates appropriate therapeutic intervention based upon assessment and evaluation of the health status of the individual. Determines which cases to refer to the licensed physician for further diagnosis and treatment; serves as clinical consultant to nursing and paramedical personnel; and coordinates work activities with families, community agencies and other members of the health.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive medical support.
- Assist in conducting regular exams, including performing preliminary physical exams and administering screening tests and injections
- Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications, and transactions according to company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff, to provide optimal patient care.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families under the guidance of a pain management physician
- Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain professionalism at all times, adhering to ethical guidelines and standards of the profession.
- Stay informed about the latest trends in pain management and participate in ongoing professional training and development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physician Assistant in a similar role.
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of California.
- Experience in pediatric medicine or a related field preferred
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient care skills under the supervision of a Pain Management Physician
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Office Ally preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Fluent in Spanish highly-preferred
