Full Job Description
Seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner to join our orthopedic team. Current CA license is required. A candidate with sports medicine and foot and ankle experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons. The role includes evaluating, diagnosing, treating and managing patients with a wide range of orthopedic conditions focused on foot, ankle and sports related injuries. This position will require travel between SCOI’s Southern California locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preoperative evaluations and medical optimization for total joint patients
- Manage outpatient clinic including new patient evaluations, postoperative visits, and routine follow-up care
- Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures, recovery, rehabilitation, and medication
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, MRI’s, and lab work
- Prescribe medications and physical therapy as appropriate
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as applicable
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in the EMR system
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- NCCPA certification (for PAs) or board certification as an NP (FNP/AGACNP preferred)
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority
- Previous orthopedic or surgical experience preferred, especially in joint replacement
- BLS/ACLS certification
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills

Compensation Disclaimer:
In accordance with California pay transparency guidelines, the posted salary range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position. Final compensation within this range will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant industry experience in healthcare , leadership experience, education, and overall qualifications.

Pay: $110,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
