Full Job Description

All American Community Health Center is a nonprofit community clinic opening in Pomona, California. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and qualified Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide primary care services in a community clinic setting.

The Physician Assistant will evaluate and treat patients, conduct routine primary care visits, support preventive care, manage common chronic conditions, document services accurately in the EHR/EMR system, and collaborate with the clinic team to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.

This position is part-time to start and may expand as the clinic grows. The Physician Assistant will practice in collaboration with the supervising physician and in accordance with clinic policies and applicable California requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider who wants to join a new nonprofit clinic from the beginning and help improve access to healthcare for families in Pomona and surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services in an outpatient clinic setting
  • Conduct patient assessments, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
  • Provide routine, preventive, and follow-up care
  • Manage common chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
  • Order and review laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic services as appropriate
  • Prescribe medications within the provider’s scope of practice and applicable requirements
  • Document patient visits accurately and promptly in the EHR/EMR system
  • Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, prevention, and lifestyle changes
  • Coordinate care with medical assistants, administrative staff, the supervising physician, specialists, and outside providers
  • Follow clinic policies, HIPAA requirements, quality standards, and applicable professional requirements
  • Assist with developing effective clinical workflows for a new community clinic
  • Contribute to a respectful, supportive, and patient-focused work environment

Qualifications

  • Active California Physician Assistant license required
  • Current PA-C certification required
  • Primary care, family medicine, or community clinic experience preferred
  • DEA registration preferred
  • Experience serving Medi-Cal or underserved patient populations is a plus
  • Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required
  • EHR/EMR experience preferred
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-care skills
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Comfortable working in a new and growing clinic environment
  • Must be able to work in person in Pomona, California

Schedule

  • Part-time
  • 2–3 days per week
  • Approximately 16–24 hours per week
  • Daytime clinic hours
  • Schedule may expand as the clinic grows

Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. Higher compensation may be considered for candidates with strong primary care or community clinic experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, DEA registration, EHR familiarity, and experience serving Medi-Cal populations.

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
