Job Description
We are seeking a Physician assistant to join our privately owned, physical-led urgent care practice. This position offers a supportive, collaborative environment with physician mentorship readily available when needed. Ideal candidates are confident, compassionate, and comfortable managing acute care patients in a fast-paced urgent care settings.
Providers are encouraged to practice autonomously while having direct physician support available at all times.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments through physical examinations, vital sign measurements, and detailed medical histories to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory tests, to inform treatment plans.
- Accurately document patient encounters using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) such as NexGen (Healthfusion); ensure accurate CPT coding and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for billing purposes.
- Perform common urgent care procedures including suturing, incision and drainage, splinting, foreign body removal, and wound care.
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants).
- Demonstrated experience in emergency medicine, or urgent care settings..
- Proficiency in EMR systems including NexGen or similar platforms; familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge essential for accurate patient assessment.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Ability to perform physical examinations effectively while utilizing aseptic techniques during injections or invasive procedures.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education.

Schedule
. 12- hour weekday shifts and 8- hour weekend shifts available
. Full-time or part-time

Pay: $119,262.19 – $143,627.58 per year
