We’re currently seeking a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our amazing team.
Details of the Opening:
- Anticipated start date: 10/12/2026
- Salary Range: $145/hr
- Anticipated duration of this contract assignment: 13 weeks (Extensions usually offered)
- Anticipated schedule: Full Time, Varied 12 Hour Shifts

Daily Range of Responsibilities:
- Support staff: Physicians, Surgeons, APP colleagues, and other administrative staff
- Amount of coverage needed per month: 3 x 12, weekly
- Patients per day: TBD
- Patient population/age: Neonatals; patients from birth to 1 year old
- Department description: either or both Level IV NICUs across 2 facilities, caring for all newborns and infants admitted to the ICN/NICU, needing surgery for heart, lung, gastrointestinal and other life-threatening conditions; may be cross trained to cover the newborn nursery
- EMR: EPIC
- Hospital bed size: SF NICU: 58; Oakland NICU: 38; Newborn Nursery: 10 or more/provider
Job Qualifications:
- Board Certification: Yes, Neonatal
- State license required: Yes, State of CA
- DEA: Yes
- CSR: No
- Certifications required: DEA with CA address, BLS, NRP. If NP, must have Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC). If PA, must have Masters in PA Studies or Masters in Medical Science
- Must have submitted enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day
