Need Nurse Practitioners in LA, Orange, Ventura, San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed wound evaluations using advanced clinical techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating wound debridement, dressing changes, and advanced therapies.
  • Perform specialized procedures.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across specialties such as infectious disease care, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, and acute care to coordinate comprehensive patient management.
  • Educate patients and their families on wound care procedures, medication administration, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to promote healing and prevent complications.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Nurse Practitioner in wound care or related fields such as hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or critical care environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and case management.
  • Hands-on experience performing advanced procedures and sterile processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for accurate billing and documentation.
  • Background working with diverse populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice patients, or those in assisted living or nursing home settings.
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and infection prevention practices within acute care or outpatient clinics.
