RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) (Contract)Location: California 93301Contract Length: 13 Weeks (05/11/2026 – 08/09/2026)Pay: $2,605 – $2,917/week

Schedule:

• Night Shift (12-hour shifts)

• 36–48 hours per week

• Weekend rotation required

• Floating to NICU and Postpartum (PP) as needed

Position Summary & Responsibilities (Concise)

• Deliver L&D nursing care using the nursing process

• Monitor fetal/maternal status (FHM) and assist with deliveries/C-sections

• Coordinate care, delegate tasks, and supervise staff

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients/families

• Support discharge planning and ensure safe patient outcomes

Requirements

Education & Experience:

• BSN: Preferred

• Acute care experience: Preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

• Active RN License (state of practice): Required

• BLS/CPR (AHA or ARC): Required

• ACLS (AHA or ARC): Required

• NRP (AHA or ARC): Required

• Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM): Required

Equipment & Procedures

• Equipment: Fetalink, Novii wireless monitoring, ultrasound, infant warmers, anesthesia machines, PPH carts, Neptunes

• Procedures: Primarily Cesarean Sections; occasional D&C, hysterectomy, vaginal repair

• Scrubs: Provided

Additional Notes

• Call required for surgical techs only (manager discretion)

• Weekend requirement based on FTE status

• Vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions may apply)
