We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Temporary / Acting Director of Nursing to provide strong clinical leadership and operational oversight during a 2-month contract assignment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of the nursing department and clinical operations.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient care.
- Support and mentor nursing staff to promote professional growth, engagement, and performance excellence.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Oversee staffing coordination, operational workflows, and resource allocation.
- Assist with budget management and operational planning to ensure departmental efficiency.
- Collaborate with leadership teams and external partners to support organizational goals and patient outcomes.
- Facilitate staff education, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care.
- Support ongoing teaching, education, and research initiatives where applicable.
About You
You are a confident and adaptable nursing leader with the ability to step into a fast-paced environment and provide immediate operational and clinical support.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Extensive experience in nursing leadership or healthcare management roles.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage clinical operations effectively.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, staff leadership, and operational management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to inspire teams, drive positive change, and maintain high standards of patient care.
Desirable
- Experience within education administration, teaching, or university-affiliated healthcare settings.
- Background supporting training, research, or academic collaborations.
