Physician Assistant – Outpatient Pain ManagementOverview

Join our growing outpatient pain management clinic as a Physician Assistant, where your clinical expertise will directly improve patients’ function and quality of life. This role offers the opportunity to use advanced clinical skills, deliver comprehensive care to patients with acute and chronic pain, and work closely with physicians and a collaborative care team. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews, to establish accurate diagnoses for patients with acute and chronic pain
• Evaluate common pain complaints, including sciatica, low back pain, neck pain, and joint pain, and determine appropriate next steps in care
• Identify patients who are candidates for interventional pain procedures and determine when joint injections are indicated
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, injections, IV infusions, and referral for interventional procedures
• Manage acute and chronic pain conditions, including safe and responsible opioid prescribing and monitoring
• Provide telehealth consultations and triage services to deliver timely care and guidance remotely

Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant license and current NCCPA certification
• Must have a DEA license
• Working knowledge of common pain management procedures
• Experience evaluating common pain conditions such as sciatica, back pain, neck pain, and joint pain
• Ability to recognize when joint injections and other interventional procedures are appropriate
• Experience with pain management and opioid prescribing
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (preferred)

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in an outpatient pain management, orthopedic, or physiatry setting

Pay: $135,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
