We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant (Mandarin/Cantonese) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history collection in Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Assist physicians with diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and procedural interventions such as suturing, injection administration, and basic aseptic techniques.
• Manage acute pain and critical care cases, including ventilator management, airway management, and triage in emergency or urgent care settings.
• Document patient encounters accurately using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Prescribe medications following DEA regulations and maintain proper CPT coding for billing purposes; provide medication education and health coaching to patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hospital departments—such as ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, and hospice—to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Support clinical research initiatives by collecting data, participating in clinical trials, and interpreting diagnostic tests like radiology reports or laboratory results.

Requirements

• Valid Physician Assistant license with active certification; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is essential for effective patient communication.
• Prior hospital experience in settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, ICU, emergency room, or critical care units.
• Demonstrated expertise in EMR/EHR management systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks; experience with ICD-9/10 coding and CPT coding is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, and infection control practices.
• Critical care experience involving ventilator management, airway procedures, or neonatal ventilator familiarity is highly desirable.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to perform physical examinations and patient assessments confidently.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team under HIPAA guidelines while maintaining professionalism in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or hospital medicine.

Pay: $70.00 – $74.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 32.0 per week
