Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history intake
• Assist in diagnostic evaluations by interpreting laboratory results, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with collaborative practice agreements and DEA regulations
• Perform procedures such as suturing, injection administration (including botulinum toxin treatments), and basic wound care using aseptic techniques
• Manage acute pain cases, triage urgent conditions, and provide emergency response support including airway management and ventilator care when necessary
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties including critical care, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, infectious disease care, and hospice & palliative medicine

Qualifications

• Valid Physician Assistant license with current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Demonstrated experience working within hospital settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, emergency rooms, ICU or critical care units, or surgical environments
• Proficiency in EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for documentation and data management
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards for billing and documentation purposes
• Experience with clinical research protocols or participation in clinical trials is a plus
• Skilled in performing procedures including suturing, phlebotomy, spinal taps, gastric lavage, dialysis management, and neonatal ventilator support
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations such as trauma response or urgent care scenarios while maintaining excellent client communication skills
• Knowledge of infection control practices and advanced life support techniques such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
