Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Endocrinology Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and metabolic syndromes, and will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care. This role involves collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide advanced clinical support, perform diagnostic evaluations, and develop personalized treatment plans.

Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring to evaluate endocrine health status.
• Assist in diagnosing endocrine disorders through diagnostic test interpretation, such as blood work analysis and imaging review.
• Prescribe medications within the scope of practice, including hormone therapies and insulin management, adhering to DEA regulations and CPT coding standards.
• Perform medical procedures such as injection administration for hormone therapy or botulinum toxin treatments when appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals on complex cases involving critical care, ICU management, or emergency room scenarios related to endocrine emergencies.
• Manage electronic health records (EHR/Epic/Cerner) accurately for data collection, documentation, and compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives and clinical trials focused on advancing endocrinology treatment modalities.
• Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence to promote optimal health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Physician Assistant with current licensure; experience in endocrinology preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as eClinicalWorks for medical records management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy related to endocrine systems, and physiology principles relevant to patient assessment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation tools such as ICD-10/ICD-9 coding for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
• Experience with telehealth platforms to facilitate remote patient consultations when necessary.
• Strong communication skills.
