Position Summary: Regional Float Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hematology/Oncology The University of Tennessee Cancer Institute is seeking a dedicated and flexible Regional Float Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our growing Hematology/Oncology team. This unique role offers the opportunity to practice across multiple UT Cancer Institute satellite locations while providing high-quality care to patients throughout the region. The position is ideal for an APP who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and is passionate about delivering exceptional cancer care. Position Highlights Primarily outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice Opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and support staff Initial assignment may include coverage at multiple satellite locations Future opportunity to establish a preferred home clinic location as organizational growth and staffing needs evolve Limited inpatient rounding responsibilities as needed Rotating weekend call schedule No night call responsibilities Competitive compensation and benefits package Opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing cancer program committed to providing advanced cancer care close to home Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions Provide follow-up care and treatment management in the outpatient setting Provide coverage for the infusion center, managing and responding to infusion related reactions and other clinic issues. Participate in patient education, survivorship care, and treatment planning Perform inpatient rounding responsibilities as assigned Participate in a rotating weekend call schedule Why Join Us? Position Qualification: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program Current Tennessee licensure or eligibility for licensure Board certification as an NP or PA Oncology or hematology experience preferred, but qualified candidates with related experience are encouraged to apply Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team Flexibility to travel between regional practice locations
