Established private optometry practice in the Mid-Wilshire area is seeking an experienced full-time Optician for a temporary position with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance.
We are looking for a customer-focused, sales-oriented optician who enjoys helping patients find the right eyewear and is willing to be cross-trained in all areas of the practice. Our team works together to provide excellent patient care and a great patient experience.
Requirements:
- Previous optician experience required
- Strong optical sales and dispensing skills
- Comfortable recommending frames, lenses, and eyewear solutions
- Knowledge of VSP and EyeMed vision plans required
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Crystal PM experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced private practice
- Team player with a positive attitude
Job Responsibilities:
- Optical sales and eyewear dispensing
- Check in patients and provide excellent customer service
- Verify vision insurance benefits
- Assist patients with frame selection and lens recommendations
- Perform frame measurements, adjustments, and repairs
- Perform pretesting (training provided)
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling
- Maintain an organized optical area
- Support daily office operations and work closely with the doctor and team

Pay: $25–$30/hour depending on experience
