We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and compassionate PA to join our growing reconstructive plastic surgery practice. In this role, you will be the clinical anchor of our San Francisco office, managing pre-operative, post-operative, and follow-up care, as well as handling urgent patient needs. Our company provides top-tier, life-enhancing reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries, focusing on personalized patient care and comprehensive lifestyle rejuvenation. This position involves a Monday through Friday schedule, offering a predictable routine in a dynamic environment. Join a team where you can make a profound impact, enjoy high autonomy, and help shape the operational flow of a premier surgical practice.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership:

  • Serve as the primary clinical point of contact for overflow patients and emergent post-operative concerns when surgeons are in the OR.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with medical assistants and registered nurses to optimize clinic flow and ensure exceptional patient experiences.
  • Actively contribute to clinical operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and helping to build efficient practice protocols.

Clinical:

  • Independently manage a busy clinic schedule, building up to see around 20-26 patients per day for pre-ops, post-ops, and follow-ups.
  • Participate in a rotating 1:5 weekly after-hours and weekend call schedule to triage patient concerns and manage post-operative complications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a PA, preferably in plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, or a fast-paced surgical based clinical setting.
  • Active California PA license in good standing.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work independently with high autonomy.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate, concierge-level approach to patient care.
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude and a solutions-oriented, “scrappy” mindset to help manage clinical operations.

Benefits

We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package designed to attract top talent, including:

  • Strong salary based on experience: $215,000 – $250,000+
  • Potential for production/performance bonuses
  • 100% employer-paid base medical insurance, with options to upgrade and add dependents
  • Dental, vision, and chiropractic coverage
  • 401(k) with up to 5% match (plus a unique Roth option allowing up to $72,000/year contribution as a high earner)
  • $15,000 annual CME/conference stipend to support ongoing education
  • Comprehensive malpractice insurance coverage and licensing/DEA fees covered
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO)

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (slight flexibility possible, e.g., 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM).
  • 1:5 Rotating after-hours and weekend call (approximately 1 week every 5 weeks once fully trained).
