This on-site, contract position is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will play a vital part in providing top-notch cardiovascular care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure that patients receive comprehensive assessments and treatments. You will manage critical care cases, support ongoing treatment plans, and contribute to patient education, ultimately enhancing our commitment to exceptional medical service in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients under your care
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patients’ conditions and provide critical interventions as needed
- Educate patients and their families on heart health and management strategies
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and team meetings
- Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in cardiology and critical care
Requirements
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Associate degree or higher in nursing or a related field
- Experience in cardiology and critical care settings preferred
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a medical team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems
- Schedule: 7p-8a, night coverage
- No call requirement
Setting: CVICU
Patient Volume: 10-15 per day
Case Types: All types of cardiovascular medicine, STEMI, heart failure, transplants, etc.
Skills Needed: Central line placements, intubations, ECMO, LVAD
Support Staff: 1 MD and APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
ACLS required
