Our Practice

Neopeds Medical Services PC is a pediatric and neonatology practice founded in 2001 in the heart of the South Bronx. We provide comprehensive, culturally responsive care to newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults across New York City, and we are committed to serving our community with compassionate, high-quality medicine.

Position Summary

We are seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our primary care team on site in the Bronx. In this role you will deliver comprehensive outpatient care, including physical examinations, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, preventive care and immunizations, and patient and family education. You will work closely with our physicians and clinical staff to provide coordinated, continuous care to the families we serve.

Fluency in both English and Spanish is required, as the majority of our patient families are Spanish-speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
  • Conduct physical examinations, well-child visits, and developmental screenings.
  • Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions within scope of practice.
  • Administer and oversee immunizations in accordance with current schedules.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory testing.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Counsel patients and families on preventive care, nutrition, and health maintenance.
  • Document all clinical encounters accurately and promptly in the electronic health record.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up care with specialists and community resources.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) or Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
  • Active, unrestricted New York State license to practice.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) and eligibility for Medicaid and commercial payer enrollment.
  • Professional fluency in English and Spanish, spoken and written.
  • All required licenses, certifications, and registrations must be active and in good standing at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training or clinical experience in Family Medicine.
  • Experience in Pediatrics or Adolescent Medicine.
  • PALS certification.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems.
  • Experience serving diverse, urban patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive annual salary of $135,000 to $165,000, commensurate with credentials and experience.
