Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. This vital role involves coordinating all on-site activities, managing subcontractors, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of project scheduling, quality control, and safety protocols. Duties

  • Oversee daily construction site operations, ensuring work progresses according to schedule, plans, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless communication and workflow.
  • Implement and enforce safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to track progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Review blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
  • Monitor quality control processes, conducting inspections to verify adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Supervise on-site personnel, providing guidance, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining high team morale.
  • Utilize construction estimating tools like HeavyBid for budgeting accuracy and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Read and interpret contracts, ensuring all work complies with contractual obligations and scope of work.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including daily reports, incident logs, change orders, and project records for transparency and accountability.

Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in construction management with a minimum of 10 years supervising large-scale projects in the field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple teams and subcontractors effectively while maintaining project timelines.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and best practices for risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools for scheduling and documentation.
  • Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; familiarity with using tools like ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Background in budgeting, construction estimating, contract administration, and quality assurance processes.
  • Excellent management skills with a track record of supervising diverse teams in fast-paced environments; supervisory experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with pipeline projects or heavy civil construction is advantageous but not mandatory.
