Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to determine diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions utilizing evidence-based practices, including pain management, infection control, and emergency interventions.
  • Administer injections such as botulinum toxin treatments and dermal fillers; perform suturing and aseptic techniques during procedures.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters, medication administration, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and data management.
  • Coordinate diagnostic evaluations including laboratory tests, medical imaging, spinal taps, and ventilator management for ICU or PICU patients.
  • Participate in clinical research studies or clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
  • Assist with triage in urgent care or emergency room settings; provide critical care support including airway management and ventilator oversight.
  • Support post-acute care planning such as discharge instructions, hospice & palliative medicine considerations, and home care coordination.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing sensitive medical records and patient information.
  • Engage in health coaching, addiction counseling, or family planning services to promote holistic patient wellness.

Qualifications

  • Valid certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current state licensure.
  • Demonstrated experience in Family medicine and Urgent care
  • Proficiency with EMR systems such as Athena, Epic, Cerner or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9) is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Hands-on experience with procedures including IV infusions, phlebotomy, suturing, catheterization (including cardiac), dialysis access management or dermabrasion is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or trauma centers; experience with triage protocols is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams and patient education efforts.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
