Full Job Description
This position is based in a freestanding children’s hospital and focuses primarily on pediatric anesthesia, with occasional neuro, trauma, regional, and orthopedic cases. There are no cardiac, thoracic, vascular, OB, chronic pain, critical care, or office-based anesthesia responsibilities.
The anesthesiologist will medically direct CRNAs and personally perform approximately 1% of cases. First-call frequency varies and includes a guaranteed post-call day off; no second call is required. Board recertification is required every 10 years.
The role focuses on delivering high-quality pediatric anesthesia in a collaborative, team-oriented environment while supervising an experienced CRNA team. The case mix is diverse and engaging, including general pediatric surgery, orthopedics, ENT, neurosurgery, and endoscopy. No cardiac cases.
