Full Job Description

As a Psychiatrist, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric services to youth and families with complex needs, including conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and overseeing ongoing medication management. The Psychiatrist will serve as a clinical resource to program staff and collaborate closely with county partners to promote safety, stability, and overall well-being.

Will be supporting clinics in: Anaheim, Lake Forest and Santa Ana in Orange County, CA

About the Clinics

The three outpatient clinics provide services to youth, ages 0-20, and their families focused on strengthening self-regulation, communication and connection through various treatment modalities. Services provided in the clinic include individual, family and group therapy, case management services, medication management services, psychological testing, equine mental health therapy, Therapeutic Behavioral Services and rehabilitation services. Our team engages in a family-systems, strength-based and collaborative approach to treatment, supporting youth/families in addressing the concerns that matter to them most. Our team is provided with robust training and staff have expertise in working with those impacted by trauma, adoption, lack of permanency and high acuity behaviors.

Responsibilities

  • Complete initial psychiatric evaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needs.
  • Prescribe and monitor medications regularly during a client’s enrollment in program
  • Provide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimen for each client during the course of their treatment in program.
  • Provide coverage for other psychiatrists within the region as needed via telehealth
  • Maintain timely and accurate paperwork as needed, including Medi-Cal documentation.
  • Additional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical Director.

Schedule

  • Contracted
    • Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm
    • 20 – 40 hours per week
  • Hybrid; combination of in-person services and telehealth services

BENEFITS

  • Contracted
    • $240/hour: board-eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist with no board certifications
    • $250/hour: board-eligible Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist with board certification in General Psychiatry
    • $265/hour: board-certified Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist in Child/Adolescent Psychiatry
    • Additional compensation upon passing the bilingual language proficiency exam
  • Travel stipends are also offered for extended commutes
