I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises the day-to-day operations, administration, coordination and integration of services, programs and activities of imaging services at The Queen’s Medical Center – West Oahu (QMC-WO).
- Oversees and monitors programs, projects, services and activities to ensure consistency with strategic plans, and goals and objectives of QMC-WO.
- Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of the Medical Center.
- Serves as the manager of the department/unit in the absence of the Manager as assigned.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Essential: seeing, hearing, speaking.
- Continuous: sitting.
- Frequent: standing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching at shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods, and frequent gripping of an object.
- Occasional: stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, squatting, twisting body, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying usual weight of 5 pounds up to 10 pounds, reaching above and below shoulder level.
- Operates IDXRAD computer, printer, telephone, facsimile, copier.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business or related field preferred.
- Current license or certification in one (1) of the following:
o Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist
o Hawaii State license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
o Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse
o Registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) preferred.
- Credentialed in at least one (1) additional advanced imaging modality preferred.
- Current BLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) years clinical experience in imaging or nursing, preferably in a comparable facility.
- One (1) year supervisory/leadership experience (e.g. responsibility for major projects).
