Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dynamic team. This role involves delivering compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care to adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, mood disorders, thought disorders, and personality disorders. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving patient outcomes through collaborative care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Prescribe and manage medication regimens, including psychopharmacology and botulinum toxin treatments when appropriate.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services in collaboration with therapists to support holistic patient care.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
- Document clinical encounters accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with complex mental health needs, including those in assisted living or memory care settings.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance service delivery and patient safety.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA), with current state licensure and prescriptive authority.
- Demonstrated experience working with adults experiencing mental health conditions, preferably within outpatient or clinic settings.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology, including medication administration, CPT coding, and ICD coding for accurate billing and documentation.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering remote psychiatric services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with diverse treatment modalities including behavioral health interventions, memory care, hospice & palliative medicine, and acute pain management.

Pay: $135,000.00 – $155,000.00 per year
