Brief Overview
Physician Assistant Otolaryngology
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
- Obtaining comprehensive patient histories and performing physical exams for both new and return patients.
- Performing pre-operative, post operative and urgent ORL evaluations in the ORL clinic.
- Assisting with procedures both in the clinic setting and in the operating room. (*Please note OR time is limited and most time is spend in the outpatient clinic)
- Participates in multidisciplinary clinics and communicate effectively with all members of the team.
- Ordering necessary diagnostic tests, consultations and procedures and issuing appropriate prescriptions/medications.
- Actively participating in Department of ORL educational meetings and conferences.
- Participating in research project opportunities.
- Working 40 hours per week: four 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday and will rotate between: North Dartmouth once per week, Weymouth, and Boston clinics and 1-2 month Waltham OR.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- A Master of Physician Assistant Studies
Experience:
- Previous OR experience is preferred
- Prior Otolaryngology/Pediatric experience strongly preferred
- New grad PAs will be considered
Licensure/ Certifications:
- A current license from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to practice as a Physician Assistant.
