About Huron River Psychiatry
Huron River Psychiatry is a growing outpatient psychiatry practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan, providing psychiatric evaluation and medication management services for children, adolescents, and adults. Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physician Assistant to join our outpatient psychiatry team.
This position is intended to transition into a full-time long-term role within the practice. The position will begin with an initial onboarding phase of approximately 20 hours per week for the first 3 months, followed by transition into a full-time salaried position with benefits as schedule volume increases.
The ideal candidate is clinically strong, collaborative, detail-oriented, and interested in long-term growth within an expanding psychiatry practice.
This is an in-person position located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up appointments for children, adolescents, and adults
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management
- Collaborate with the supervising/collaborating physician and clinical team
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EHR
- Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, schools, and families when appropriate
- Practice in accordance with HIPAA requirements and professional psychiatric standards
Qualifications
- Current Physician Assistant license in Michigan required
- Active DEA license required
- Prior psychiatry or behavioral health experience strongly preferred
- CAQ in Psychiatry preferred, but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Commitment to thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care
Compensation and Benefits
Initial Part-Time Phase
- Approximately 20 hours per week
- Hourly compensation: $60 to $67 per hour depending on experience
Full-Time Transition
- Expected transition to full-time salaried position after approximately 3 months as schedule volume increases
- Anticipated salary equivalent: approximately $125,000 to $139,000 annually depending on experience and schedule
- Benefits eligibility upon transition to full-time status
