Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Acute Care, Family Practice for our client in North Carolina!
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient clinical coverage for emergency medicine, urgent care, acute care, and family practice.
- Serve as the sole clinician onsite at the medical center.
- Manage a high-volume caseload averaging 40 to 60 patients per day.
- Perform clinical procedures such as incision and drainage, laceration repair, and ear irrigation.
- Utilize Epic EMR for all patient charting and clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with support staff to maintain a positive patient experience and high-quality care.
Qualifications
- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner certification.
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible status.
- Minimum of 12 months of professional clinical experience.
- Active North Carolina state medical license.
- Active BLS certification and state-specific DEA license.
- Experience treating a diverse patient population from pediatrics (6 months+) to geriatrics.
Schedule
- Coverage period: ASAP and ongoing.
- Nature: On-site clinical hours only.
- Setting: Outpatient clinical environment.
- Credentialing timeframe: 20 days.
Skills
- Proficiency in urgent care and family practice clinical procedures.
- Technical expertise in using Epic EMR systems.
- Strong interpersonal and soft skills for one-on-one interactions with patients and staff.
- Ability to work effectively as a solo provider in a high-volume setting.

All travel expenses are reimbursed by our client and Orchard covers malpractice insurance with tail coverage!
