Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Perform medical procedures such as suturing, injection administration, and basic life support interventions with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain cases, triage emergency situations, and coordinate care for patients in hospital, outpatient, and urgent care settings.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for data collection, medical records management, and clinical documentation.
  • Assist in diagnostic evaluations including interpreting imaging results, lab tests, and coding using ICD-10/ICD-9 systems for accurate billing and record keeping.
  • Participate in clinical research or trials related to infectious disease care, pain management, or other specialties to advance evidence-based practices.
  • Support hospital teams with ventilator management, ICU procedures, trauma response at Level I/II trauma centers, and neonatal ventilator care when applicable.
  • Engage in health coaching and patient education initiatives to promote wellness and chronic disease management.

Experience

  • Prior hospital experience in medical-surgical units, ICU settings, or emergency rooms is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner or similar platforms for efficient data management.
  • Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, or trauma center exposure is advantageous.
  • Experience with outpatient clinics or primary care environments that involve comprehensive patient assessments and follow-up care.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding for procedures and ICD coding for diagnoses ensures accurate documentation and billing processes.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms enhances the ability to deliver remote patient consultations effectively.
  • Background in clinical research or participation in clinical trials related to family medicine, geriatrics or infectious diseases is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology principles supports precise diagnosis and treatment planning. Pay: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
