Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate diagnoses.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations utilizing EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to document findings and support clinical decision-making.
- Administer injections, medications, and treatments including botulinum toxin therapy and dermal fillers with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Manage acute pain cases, triage urgent needs, and coordinate care plans for patients in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings.
- Assist with procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and ventilator management in hospital environments like Level I and Level II trauma centers or ICU units.
- Collect data for clinical research or quality improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards like ICD-10 and CPT coding.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, post-acute care, hospice & palliative medicine, and chronic disease management including infectious disease care and geriatrics.
Skills
- Proficiency in EMR systems including Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks; experience with data management and medical records documentation.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and medical terminology essential for accurate patient assessment.
- Skilled in performing physical examinations, diagnostic procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, spinal taps), and injection administration with aseptic technique.
- Critical care experience in ICU or emergency room settings; familiarity with ventilator management and airway control procedures.
- Experience in hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers or primary care practices; background in acute care or sub-acute care environments preferred.
- Ability to utilize telehealth platforms effectively; experience with health coaching and patient education is advantageous.
- Knowledge of infection control protocols, radiation therapy basics, DME (durable medical equipment), dialysis procedures, and post-operative wound care. Pay: $110,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
