RN House Supervisors– Hospital Operations

East Houston Medical Center – Houston & Baytown, Texas Locations

East Houston Medical Center is seeking a strong and service‑driven RN House Supervisors (Days and Nights shifts)– Hospital Operations to provide leadership across nursing services at our Houston and Baytown locations. This position serves as the primary on‑site nursing operations leader, supporting clinical excellence, staffing coordination, patient safety, regulatory readiness, and a high standard of compassionate care across the facility.


Position Overview

The RN House Supervisors – Hospital Operations provides day‑to‑day leadership and oversight for nursing practice across hospital departments, with close collaboration with physicians, department leaders, and executive leadership. This role is responsible for promoting consistent nursing standards, strengthening team performance, supporting quality outcomes, and ensuring smooth nursing operations throughout the Houston and Baytown campus.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to nursing staff across clinical departments to ensure safe, efficient, and patient‑centered care.
  • Oversee staffing coordination, patient safety regulatory readiness, and unit support to maintain effective daily hospital operations.
  • Mentor charge nurses and frontline nursing leaders, reinforcing accountability, professionalism, and strong clinical judgment.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support care coordination, communication, and timely response to patient needs.
  • Monitor quality indicators, nursing performance, and patient care outcomes, and help implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Support compliance with hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Partner with leadership in orientation, staff development, engagement, and retention efforts for nursing personnel.


Requirements

Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Texas.
  • BSN required; MSN or related graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of acute care nursing experience, including progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Strong working knowledge of hospital operations, nursing standards, patient safety practices, and team leadership.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical‑thinking skills.
