Full Job Description

We didn’t build another medspa. We built a clinic around one of the most important categories in modern medicine — and we need the right clinician to help be part of that vision.

The Tide is Houston’s dedicated peptide and precision medicine clinic. Not an aesthetic & wellness brand with a peptide menu. Not a telemedicine checkout page. A real clinic with a real clinical process — physician consultations, baseline labs, custom protocols, and follow-ups. We treat metabolic, hormonal, recovery, cognitive, immune, and longevity concerns with an evidence-first approach, and we’re honest with patients about what the literature supports and what it doesn’t.

This isn’t a job posting for someone who wants to run a template. It’s for someone who wants to help write the playbook.

As the Lead NP on the founding team, you’ll have direct influence over how patients experience The Tide — from the first consultation to protocol design to the follow-up cadence that keeps them engaged and improving. You’ll work alongside the Medical Director to shape clinical workflows, develop SOPs for patient intake and monitoring, and help establish the standard of care that becomes the clinic’s signature.

In the early months, this means wearing multiple hats. You’ll be seeing patients, interpreting labs, educating on protocols, and contributing to how we build the clinical infrastructure. As the clinic grows, you’ll be the person who’s been here since day one — with the trust, the institutional knowledge, and the clinical authority that comes with it.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct 45-minute patient consultations covering goals, medical history, current medications, and lifestyle. This is a conversation, not a checkbox.
  • Order, interpret, and act on advanced lab panels — hormones, metabolic markers, inflammatory markers, IGF-1, and longevity biomarkers.
  • Design individualized peptide protocols in collaboration with the Medical Director — peptide selection, dosing, route, cycle length, and monitoring. Not templates.
  • Manage ongoing patient care at 30, 60, and 90-day follow-ups. Adjust protocols based on labs, response, and clinical judgment.
  • Administer in-clinic treatments including injections, NAD+ IV infusions, and targeted nutrient therapies.
  • Educate patients with clinical depth. They leave understanding what they’re taking, why, and what the evidence does and doesn’t support.
  • Help develop clinical SOPs for patient intake, lab workflows, protocol documentation, and follow-up scheduling.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director on quality initiatives, outcomes tracking, and evidence review.

Brand and growth

  • Represent the clinic’s clinical voice — in consultations, educational events, and community engagement.
  • Contribute to content and education (optional but encouraged): provider-led video, clinical writing, podcast appearances, or local health events.
  • Help shape the patient experience from first contact to long-term retention.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Texas APRN license with prescriptive authority. Board certified (FNP-BC, AGNP, or equivalent). Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • 3+ years NP experience in functional medicine, integrative medicine, hormone therapy, regenerative medicine, endocrinology, internal medicine, or sports medicine.
  • Strong lab interpretation skills. You’re comfortable ordering and acting on comprehensive panels without looking up every reference range.
  • Experience with hormone replacement therapy (TRT and/or HRT) including dosing, monitoring, and protocol adjustment.
  • Functional medicine orientation — you see the whole patient, not a symptom checklist.
  • Excellent patient communication. You explain complex mechanisms clearly, set honest expectations, and build trust over time.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage operations.

Preferred (not required)

  • Direct peptide prescribing experience. If you have the functional medicine and hormone foundation, we’ll train you on specific peptide protocols — the clinical rigor matters more than the molecule knowledge.
  • GLP-1 therapy experience (titration, side effects, metabolic monitoring).
  • IFM certification, IV therapy experience, or familiarity with functional diagnostics (Dutch, GI-MAP).

Why The Tide

We’re building something that doesn’t exist yet in Houston — a fully integrated peptide and precision medicine clinic with diagnostics, 503A compounding pharmacy, and clinical care under one roof.

Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
