Physician Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical evaluations and consultation and provide recommendations to avert complications.
- Analyze and interpret routine laboratory results.
- Educate patients and their family members regarding treatment and medical care.
- Dispense and prescribe controlled substances in accordance with the scope of practice for Physician Assistants.
- Develop and establish plans to provide and improve patient health care.
Qualifications:
At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients performing examinations, prescribing medications, and determining appropriate medical treatment.
Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education.
Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
