Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Mission Viejo, CaliforniaDuration: 13 Weeks (Contract, with possibility to extend)Shift Options: 4x10s or 5x8s (based on clinician preference)Start Time: Variable between 7:00 AM – 9:00 AMPay Rate: $2,250 – $3,100 per week (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Tech to join a high-performing acute care hospital. This role primarily focuses on PET imaging, with occasional support in Nuclear Medicine. The ideal candidate will have strong PET experience and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform PET and Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures per physician orders
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Operate PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine equipment (Siemens experience preferred)
- Ensure proper patient positioning, monitoring, and care during procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records (Epic)
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and quality control protocols
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Float to Nuclear Medicine department as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- At least 6 months of PET experience (mandatory)
- First-time travelers accepted only with 2+ years of total experience
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) Certification required
- Active California State License required
- BLS Certification required
- PET certification not required, but PET experience is mandatory
