Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our internal medicine healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and be committed to providing high-quality patient care across various settings. This role requires expertise in patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, along with the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in managing patient health, conducting physical examinations, and implementing treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients 18+.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, providing appropriate medical care.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop care plans.
- Manage patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively for patient management (e.g., Epic).
- Provide health education and counseling to patients regarding wellness and disease prevention.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in NY.
- Must have passed Boards.
- Able to work on weekends.
- Ability to drive and travel between work sites (optional)
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and manage complex patient cases effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients ages 18+.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to NCQA standards.
