Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical procedures and practices. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services in a collaborative environment, ensuring the well-being of patients across diverse settings.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on clinical findings.
- Manage acute pain, including triage and acute care for patients in various medical settings.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Participate in clinical research and trials, contributing to data collection and analysis.
- Provide education and health coaching to patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Assist in surgical procedures, including suturing, catheterization, and airway management when necessary.
- Engage in hospice and palliative medicine practices to support patients with serious illnesses.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Proficiency in EMR systems; experience with Epic or Cerner is preferred.
- Background in critical care or emergency medicine is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical billing documentation.
- Experience in various specialties such as pediatrics, geriatrics, internal medicine, or urgent care is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and infection control practices.
- Ability to perform procedures such as phlebotomy, IV infusion, gastric lavage, spinal taps, and more.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
