Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate hybrid Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch patient care through effective triage and remote patient monitoring. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with technology, and have a passion for making a difference in the lives of patients. This role is a HYBRID POSITION. You will be in office four days a week and one day REMOTE. When the clinic has a slow schedule or your provider is off then you have the opportunity to work remotely but when the schedule is full, you are to work in office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial patient triage remotely, assessing patient needs, Pre-Authorization flagging and urgency of care.
- Monitor patient health data and alerts through our remote patient monitoring system.
- Communicate effectively with patients via phone, and messaging platforms, providing care instructions.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to update patient care plans based on remote monitoring data.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in continuous education to stay updated on best practices in remote patient care and technology.
Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Proven experience in a medical assistant role, with a strong preference for experience in triage and patient monitoring.
- Comfortable using medical software and technology for remote patient care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey medical instructions clearly to patients.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple patient cases efficiently.
